Bring on the Sooners! haha I'm looking for our crop of receivers to really step it up this year. I especially see new guys Matt Austin and Xavier Martin having big years for us.
I'm hoping to see an Aggie team that move the ball with much fewer 3 and out possessions - that will mean more points, a better rested defense for the 4th quarter, and keep time of possession down for opponents. If they can accomplish that they will be bowl eligible at the end of the season.
I'm excited to get to this fall's scrimmage. Thanks for the information, Jared.
I hope the Aggies put up a good fight against the Sooners. I'm sure they have more class than to try to win the game by injuring the opposing quartback.
Moderate,
Do you really think BYU intended to hurt Bradford to win the game? Show more class than throwing around false accusations.
Every team at the beginning of fall drills says they are bigger, faster, and stronger than last year. Until we see them play a couple of games it will be hard to tell whether they really are or not.
I like this coach though and I think he will have things going the right way for a couple of years, until a bigger program offers him a lot more money so that he can "put food on the table for his family". I love it when multi million dollar coaches say that.
Looking forward to seeing new recruits and true freshmen Jason Fanaika and Bryce Walker in Aggie Blue... lets go boys!
PS, Jason, clean your room! LOL
Can't wait for Oklahoma, and then ISU at home. Coach Andersen has really got things going in the right direction. Even with the losses of Turbin and Morrison things still look brighter than last year. Let the football begin. Go State!!!
Returning 20 starters? That is awesome and will be amazing
Here is to a successful season for the Utah State Aggies and a bowl berth. Good luck to Coach Anderson and the Aggies. Best of luck to you.
The key to winning, preparing to win, being physically ready, and never quitting. But all that stuff is pretty equal, Winning is 90% between the ears and never staying down. Go Aggies
Ute fan here but have wanted for years for the Aggies to become a tough, viable opponent and a power in the WAC. You have the right guy at the top. Coach A is a fundamentally sound, do things the right way coach that cares about two things. From what we saw with him as our DC he cares about his guys and winning.
If he has recruited the kind of player I think he has you'll find a bunch of players who will leave everything they have on the field and won't be in the headlines off of the field. Good luck this year and we'll (hopefully) see a new, revitalized Aggie team again in 2012.
Arynen,
Actually I was refering to Texas.
Interesting that you piped up with a confession so quick. You BYU fellahs sure are a guilty lot.
Sounds like most of the chips fell into place this year for the aggies. We'll be routing for you against Oklahoma and throughout the season.
Last year the Ags were so close to having a winning record. Most losses were by a few points and only a couple plays made the difference.
Excited to see the team in action with a good offense and a defense which is Gary Anderson's calling card. Can't believe there are 20 returing starters, but even more important is the new athleticism that is beiing brought in. This team will be deep the next couple years.
Good luck.
