Pierce makes a good point when he states that NBC's Fall schedule will fail. However, he is only partially correct when he attributes this coming failure to the fact that NBC has completely run out of ideas.

Pierce implies that NBC's lack of ideas have led to shows with poor acting, confusing plots, and atrocious story lines. This is true, but the true reason the upcoming season will be a failure is because NBC has abandoned the traditional values of this Country.

When NBC was at its height, people could not take their eyes off the set because the shows were so uplifting and patriotic. Now that NBC has filled its shows with violence and immorality, viewers have fled in droves. Given the fact that the new season is simply more of the same, the viewers will continue to stay away from NBC.

And that perfectly reasonable theory also completely and fully explains why other stations with equally raunchy content have succeeded. Another A+ for a JCS theory!

JCS
To what uplifting and patriotic programs are you referring?

Seinfield? Early seasons of ER?

JCS - You provide so much entertainment. Thank you.

"When NBC was at it's height" - would that the "The Contest" episode of "Seinfeld" or the lesbian wedding on "Friends"?

I'm still going with my theory that you're saying all this in sarcasm and irony, because the thought of someone actually thinking like you write is a bit nauseating.

(The word "country," on its own, is not capitalized.)

The problem is that it's always the same stale set-up with television networks.
Lawyer shows, detective shows, hospital shows and of course reality shows.

The few times a show comes along that's fresh and different, it gets canceled.
