Jeepers. This always amazes me. As a lifelong public school educator to have this happen once again gives educators a black eye. The blog posters will have a field day. Just hoping one of our legislators will come thru for us with some type of transgression.

And people always wonder why teaching has a difficult time establishing itself as a profession. Being able to quit without prosecution and then getting the district to promise not to say anything to potential future employers is the worst part of this.

Corruption in Garfield County what is new? This man is not guilty - don't judge him before all facts are presented. These are only allegations! Innocent until proven guilty.

Looks like Garfield did not want to deal with the problem so they just paid him to go away. They need a new school board.

This is just an example of the corruption in the whole education system in Utah and how easy it is to commit fraud.

The education system has no checks and balances, no audits, no accountability, and out of control. It's not about their position, its about greed and getting away with theft. Whether is on an expense account, gas card, or funds, it's in every school district and the worst offenders are farther up the ladder. With billions of dollars in a budget, who will miss a few hundred thousand dollars?

Office workers and teachers may get away with pens and pencils but the real criminals are leading the pack in the money flow.

If the governor asked for a system wide audit of the education leaders we would lose almost all district leaders and board of eduction appointees. That is if they would prosecute the offenders.

Dr. Park will be completely exonerated. He is an extremely ethical man. After reading the history surrounding the charges, I believe Dr. Park's only mistake was to agree to straighten out the Panguitch political quagmire, upon the request of that board, as a condition of his hire. I wonder - were they looking for an ethical superintendent or a scapegoat?
