Terrific stuff, Scott.
Keep on fighting the good fight.
What a refreshing article.
Back when my work took me out of town frequently, my favorite pastime, after taking care of business, was to sit at the desk in the motel and study one of Hugh Nibley's books. With nothing to distract me, I was able to read, ponder and pray. Many times I had to read a chapter multiple times, but his writings never disappointed and his scholarship illuminated the way towards understanding.
The last quote is soooo classic Nibley: "No, I care that little about royalties"... awesome. Simply awesome. Bravo once again to the master!
I wonder if we can order those "The collected workers of Hugh Nibley" t-shirts? I want one!!!
My favorite Hugh Nibley books are his lectures given to honors students on the Book of Mormon. The five volumes are a testament of his faith knowledge, and testimony, and I love him for that.
