Free food does not imply hungry children. It is open greed by many, especially illegal aliens. If a white man or woman goes to these food pantry's or free meals the illegals regard them as stealing their food. Personal experience as they cussed all the white people there. What is real concerting is that these food pantry's are dispensing spoiled food, canned and fresh, to children and families.
The state is under some misguided information to support these free food programs. If a child is hungry the DWS feeds them in many ways with CHIP funds, food stamps, and foreign aid.
If parents get these funds and don't feed their children then they should be arrested for child neglect. These food stamps and CHIP funds can be sold on the black-market to anywhere in the world as there is no verification or identification in place of who is using them or where.
These reports are partial and biased by those who seek any thing free. Besides, being a little hungry never hurts anybody. Haven't heard of any reports that children or adults are dieing of hunger in america. It's all fictitious greed.
These reports always fail to mention that they focus mainly on the children of illegal residents.
Not having enough food is not fictitious greed. Many families struggle with hunger. Those who have grew up in middle class suburban families fail to understand the complexities of poverty and actively spread the myths about the poor. Why do the posters who posted before me hate the poor? Why do they blame the poor? The answer is because they have failed to put themselves in the shoes of another. Hungry kids are hungry. Period. They should be fed. It's that simple.
BigPoet, Sorry, but that doesn't fit the scenario.
Fo weeks, all I've heard is that illegals get the food stamps and welfare because their children are automatic citizens by being born in the USA.
Now you want us to believe that it's just the illegals kids who are hungry.
I agree with 'Words & Actions'. A hungry child is a hungry child. Hispanic, white or polka-dotted.
It's important to take care of the kids, no matter what your personal bias is.
What a conundrum. We worry that our children are too fat, yet we also worry that they aren't getting enough food. As a school teacher, I can tell you that children are getting fatter. My only conclusion is that parents buy cheaper food which is filled with calories, but unhealthy. I'm not sure what to think.
