we need broadband access in national parks as much as monkeys need cocaine
Is this really something that future generations need to be paying off for decades, making the Chinese rich (since it is their money we borrowed)?
The value of this project could be debated, but at a time when we are broke, and nearly bankrupt and out of credit, is this really something the government should be doing?
Of course, the answer is no!
There is no "free money" from Washington for any project, unless that money has been taken from taxpayers now, or in the future to pay back borrowed money.
This is a waste of money (along with hundreds of other "stimulus" projects) and every politician who voted for this "stimulus" bill needs to be stimulated right out of office.
