The guy in the article said, "I think a better alternative is 300 North," he said. "There are more houses and businesses on 1800 North than 300 North." Seems to me that would be a better reason to use 1800 North. That and the fact that 1800 North is already a state highway. I think they are doing an EIS study on it right now to see if it should be expanded. Imagine that. UDOT coordinating studies that impact each other. Sounds like these guys maybe know what they're doing.

If it makes you feel any better, you can go to one of UDOT's open houses where you can complain to someone with a suit and a name tag standing next to a big map on an easel. Or you can complain on a paper form that you can put in a box. Either way, no one else in the general public will hear your opinions and UDOT will ignore them.
