Looks like UTA is falling victim to the same fuel price gouging that the rest of us in Utah are forced to endure. How much higher than the national average are our prices this week? Anybody want to bet we're still right at the top? It will be a great day when someone has the political will to bring the Utah petroleum industry pirates to heel.

I have a big problem with this. I am not rich. I have saved to come to Utah for a few days. I don't have a lot of money and this will put a strain on the finances I have. Don't you think that if a person takes a bus that they do it because they don't have money for a car or any other transportation. This bothers me because I live in a county out of state that is much bigger than Salt Lake and we don't even pay $2 for fare much less have a surcharge imposed on riding the bus. This is like punishing a person because they have to take the bus. I know that Utahans just take this kind of thing in stride.
Maybe the CEO and other board members should stop lining there pockets before they take from people that are struggling to make ends meet.

This is an unfair and wrongful method of adding surcharges on UTA and TRAX fares. Using total usage should also be adjusted to number of vehicles affecting the amount of fuel they use. It's only natural that if they increase the number of vehicles in their fleet it will raise the fuel usage and an unfair method to raise taxes on fares.

Once again, UTA is showing its corruption based fares.

Still Jim

Too bad UTA doesn't have to make a profit anymore such as was necessary when it was a private company. This company makes no attempt to do right by the people it supposedly serves.

Time to close the books on UTA and bring in an out-of-State Transit Bus Company to take over the bus routes. Time to put Inglish and Allegra in the State's greybar hotel.

UTA is a joke. They should lower the salaries of the top execs. In the state where I live the govenor is making us take a 2 day furlough without pay. I think the top execs shouldn't get more than 100,000 per year. If they had 2 live on that than that should help with the fuel surcharge. the mass transit ppl back here don't make close 2 what they make out there. The guv back here doesn't even come close 2 what the execs make out there. What do they think they are so special that they need to make that much? I took uta for most of the time I. Lived in slc. Uta is a joke.

shouldn't mass transit be more affordable than driving?
