Park city has the best alpine slide. Snowbirds is fun but probably not half as long. Also you have the alpine coaster at pc which is a blast.
Alta needs to open their doors to all customers not just skiers. I won't go skiing there until they do
Utah is so blessed with beauty and a ton of recreational opportunities. Great photos . . . loved the Wag and Swim!
I agree with R0B about PC's alpine slide. I have a different opinion, though, about Alta's offerings. They focus on what has always been their forte and they don't need to be like the rest, and they SEE that!! Not very ski area needs to be a "resort." Personally, I love to visit both types. But more often than not, I'd prefer a quiet hike surrounded by the nature and beauty of Alta to the busier commercialized resort visit. I hope they never change.
its Pretty ridiculous that Alta is still are a ski only resort.
On summer vacation in Utah a couple of years ago, one of the highlights of the trip was a half-day at Snowbird. No, the alpine slide was not spectacular, but it was okay. The tram ride to 11,000 and hiking around up there was spectacular. It sounds like there is more to do at Park City, but Snowbird was just fine for a few hours of fun in the cooler weather.
