Keep telling yourself that Jared. Eventually you will be leave it.
Just have to wait and see, so far all Anderson has done is get better PR for USU. NO MORE WINS.
This was a great article. Thanks for the update.
Wow nothing like a disgruntled BYU fan to post at 11:43 PM. I suppose that is what happens when you get left behind in the Mountain West Conference:) Good thing your TV contract is actually worse than the WAC's. I mean life on the Mountain surely is nice, problem being the "Mountain" is more like a hill, too bad it isn't the "hill" the Utes are on:)
Max has a lot of hate, but hate obviously gets you nowhere unless you include the "Mountain" as somewhere. Enjoy your continued success in the Mountain Cougar fan, and please do continue staying up late on the internet trying to find "Aggie" articles to spew your "hate" on.
Go Ags, Go Utes.
This is a title for an article after all these starters have moved on this year and they are at the top of the WAC the year they have so many new starters. The title is 2 years premature. Until they show they can do better than 4 wins, they are a 4 win team. Don't hype up a team just because they were GUESSED to end up 4TH place. You're sounding like ESPN writers who are all hype.
Best of luck to coach Andersen and the Aggies this year. Gary is the man and he's turning the program around. Even though the wins didn't show it last year, the effort did. It was the first time in many years that Utah State didn't just throw in the towel when they were down big. They scratched and clawed, and I think it gave them some confidence. I fully expect them to finish 4th this year, if not better.
I just can't wait for the season to start and the Aggies start winning games.
I love the college football season!
It's great having a coach with some passion and a plan. Let's hope we can keep Gary around for a long time.
The Aggies will show better results on the field this year, and with the type of recruits the Aggies are landing the program will have a good base to keep building in the future. I think the Ags will compete within a couple of season for the league title.
the great thing about being an Aggie is that regardless of the football team, life's good. :)
I am excited to have the season begin.
Go Big Blue!!!
Four wins is the most USU has won this decade. Over the last four years, USU has shown continual improvement, not just in on-field performance, but also in wins.
I'm in classes with the football players on this team. Anyone who knows Coach A knows that he wants to beat BYU more than he wants to live, and he is ingraining that desire into his players. They realize what a nationally televised win over BYU does for USU, and they're out for blood.
USU 28-24 BYU
+1 on Utah Man's comments...accurate and insightful.
I think there's some merit in GA's thinking about the potential for establishing a "Spectrum environment" at Romney Stadium. The Aggie Nation--especially the young fans who make the Smith Spectrum such an awesome place to play--are hungry for football success. Getting some consistency and wins at home could really energize and expand the fan base. Earning a little home court Spectrum-like swagger would be a significant shot in the arm for the program.
There is much work to do, but we're definitely headed in a positive direction. Thanks Coach A and staff. Go Ags.
Excellent article, Jared. I'm more excited and optimistic about the future of Aggie football than I have been since the days of Bruce Snyder, Eric Hipple, Rick Parros, Rulon Jones, Hal Garner, Shawn Miller, Mike Perko, et al. What's that been? Thirty years? With the right leadership at USU finally making football a priority, I am optimistic that the Aggie faithful might at long last see a return to competitiveness on the field -- even with an athletic budget that is a fraction of our sister schools to the south.
It's hard for me to get my hopes up for this. I wonder how long he will stay if they start to win.
I saw them play SUU, and they weren't that impressive. Hope they are better this year.
BYU 35
USU 17
USU's defense is still bad. Andersen was supposed to be the answer by bringing in the Defensive scheme from Utah. The Aggies will get better in time, bu the offense is better than the defense and that is not good.
This is my favorite time of the year, we are suffering NO losses,, and if accolades were points on a scoreboard, we'd be ranked nationally,,,
I love the many positive reviews on the progress the Aggies are making,, but the question is,, is this all just "talk-up" like in the past,, or is it "Play-up"?
Every coach in the nation is talking up how wonderful this coming season is going to be,, I just hope we are not seeing the world through rose colored glasses, as we have so many many times before,,
GO AGGIES
I have high hopes for USU. I think they will do better than they have the last couple years. They have improved by one win each season. I think they will finish fourth in the WAC, too, if not, better. I think they will start 3-1 in the beginning of th season. They will probably get a bowl bid this year. Best of luck to GA and Borel.
