Very disappointing to come away with a draw in a game that we were clearly the better team. I think there were a few contributing factors to the draw: Beckerman played angry the whole time he was in, which makes it very difficult to play smart. Findley's touch was off, RSL got impatient in the final attacking third of the field and ending up trying some pretty low percentage passes, and of course Rimando made a very bad goal keeping error. A combination of those things made it tough to get the win. This is our third straight game of playing sub-par so hopefully Kreis is not getting complacent with the team at all...hopefully this is just a small funk that we can snap out of. I would really like to see our forwards "click" more with each other.

Very disappointing, but I agree with Kreis that this game was just a blip. You can play extremely well, which I thought RSL did, and still get bit. In fact thats the fun thing about this sport, if you turn off focus for just a moment you can get punished.

I think with a little perspective, we should realize that it wasn't even a year ago that they were barely scraping for the playoffs. We'd complain about lackluster effort and draws turning to loses in the last minute. Now we have these high expectations that they win every game.

I think this team is playing to its potential and they've raised the expectations themselves with excellent soccer this season. Hopefully this recent form is just a blip and they'll be back on track by the time CCL really gets going.

Finishing, finishing, finishing! I haven't seen an RSL opponent make so many amateur mistakes, yet still come away with a result against us. Really unfortunate that Johnson couldn't put that one-on-one away. Too many desperate shots from distance (Beckerman, Williams, Beltran, etc.). Speaking of Beltran...seriously?! Better than Russel?! Get Tony out of there! Loved the wonder-goal by Grabavoy though! DC should be a breeze next week.

horrible fireworks experience after the game. Very frustrating getting on to the field. I was separated from my family because of how poor it was. It left with a very bad taste in my mouth.

RSL1

Definitely too many shots from distance. Also, the crossing was very poor. A lot of floating balls coming in. Hardly any hard driven, swerving, dipping balls into the box. Our possession and build up was excellent all game. Then we would take a shot from 40 yards out or send in the weak floating cross that either sailed out of play or right to the keeper. Hopefully we get back to normal next week.

In soccer, a tie is called a "result" because the team gains a point in the standings. I guess Real can get a result after all.

Soccer can be one of the most frustrating games in the world and last night was a perfect example. Like others have said, let's keep this in perspective though. RSL is in a great position overall and I see no reason why they aren't capable of competing for another championship.

Wingert needs to work on his crosses. Actually, I don't know if that is enough, right now he can't even keep them in play.

Sabo had a very rough game as far as his holding touch, but I think that will be short-lived. It's important now to get a few more wins on the road.

Sour fireworks after being unable to win the game. RSL was clearly the better team, Chivas play was horrible. We had excessive lateral passes without playing in the box. Wingert and Johnson had many crosses but there were mainly to far away from the goal with the ball out of reach for the attackers.
It was a good game for Beckerman, he wasn't rusty at all. He needs to work more with the referees, but being calm will get more calls for his team.

I have to laugh at Chivas! First of all... their team is named the GOATS. And B, they are in last place in the Western conference... yet they're happy with a draw! Maybe they should change their name to the losers!!!

Soccer is a sport if understood where a point on the road is considered a result. To go into a oppponants stadium and come away with a draw is considered a good outcome. Getting a point at home is really a poor result so RSL were the real losers last Saturday.
But it is good to see you get a laugh.

uhhh, a tie helps Chivas not only because they get a point but they also because they prevent RSL from getting another two points. BUT with Chivas already being 8 points out of the last playoff spot in the west they are probably going to need to sometime soon play to win in order to make the playoffs because ties the rest of the way probably won't do it.
