If these folks have conservative leanings, or in other words if they are not "activist judges", they'll have no trouble being confirmed.
Herbert needs to replace the First Districk Judge in Brigham City.
To "durwood kirby", if you definition of conservative judges is that they not be activists, then the Roberts Court is the most liberal court in U.S. history. Get a clue, an activist judge can be a conservative. Roberts, Alito, Scalia and company have been stunningly activist judges. It's all in the issues they want to promote. And they have been out there.
"Highly recommended by the bar and the bench" means nothing to me. How about you? Just more judges we haven't a clue about apparently in important and powerful positions.
Activist? I don't know of any conservative judges except perhaps Judge David Young, who sounded as if he might have possibly qualified as "conservative". They got rid of him.
