Bravo to UVU and President Holland. While I disagree that Romance languages' time has passed (come on, Spanish and French will continue to be major world languages for the foreseeable future), there are and will continue to be more and more opportunties for Utahns who can speak languages like Chinese and Arabic.
Mr. Yell's comment about Romance languages is most unfortunate. Tell that to the hundreds of millions to our south, and the tens of millions in the U.S.
