I went to the performance and it was truly wonderful. I especially loved the song "Amazing Grace", it brought me to tears. This is truly the Lord's choir. I am so thankful I live here and can go see and hear this wonderful choir for free. It was better than any other concert I have been to and paid for. Thank-you, volunteer choir members, for the fabulous night.
Wonderful concert last night, BRAVO!
On to the next 100 years of recorded music from "America's Choir," as Ronald Reagan, said.
We here in Salt Lake have the ability on any Sunday no matter what Faith we believe, can sit down inside the Tabernacle and hear the inspiring music that is performed. After 30 to 60 minutes of listening to the choir, you will always feel better at the conclusion.
Many thanks to the leaders and hundreds of volunteer choir members and members of the Orchestra that in the last few years have added so much to the experience.
EXPECTACULAR BRAVO BRAVO
Congradualation Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 100 wonderful years. I remember listening to the choir as we went to church as a child and I continue each week by watching or listening to the choir each week. Continue being such a inspiruation to all of those that love you and will keep on enjoying your music.
We would like to enjoy this program too. Where can we by a DVD of the program since we were unable to see it Live?
It was a spiritual feast again last night. This is without doubt the world's greatest choir.
For wdrysdale, the Pioneer Concert will be broadcast via the internet tonight at 7:00 pm, go to the church's home page [lds. org](this forum won't allow me to post that address)and you will see a link to access the broadcast. It will also be broadcast via BYUtv and KBYU several times and that information is linked on that page. Enjoy!
I second all the great comments about what a wonderful (Pres. Monson's adjective) performance it was. Another testament of how the Lord has blessed us in technology advancements is the availability of these broadcasts outside Utah. BYUTV is wonderful!
The 200 mile drive is alway worth the program. Like others, we join the lottery and hope to be chosen. The Choir is yet another testimony to the world of Jesus Christ, his teachings, through music.
