They got Brewer, too?! we're totally screwed, now!! ;)

GreasyDave

I'm buying tickets to the Jazz-Bulls game this year. Mainly to just boo Boozer, but to also cheer Korver and Brewer. Best of luck to Ronnie and Korver. Break a leg Booz!

Miles

SI is reporting the bulls are looking to sign fess to a 4 yr. 10million contract. Boozer is starting to hurt the Jazz. At least we have Miles the best sg in the NBA. He will be an All Star this year.

New name for Chicago - the Chicago Jazz

LKA

Thats good news for Ronnie. He got more than the Jazz could have given him. Korver and Brewer could someday come back to the Jazz. Booze contract is for five years and I think will take him to retirement. Its a whole lot better to part and remain friends.I wish them luck except when they play the Jazz. I think everyone needs to give a hearty welcome when the Bulls play here. Lets be classy fans and bury the hatchet..

If AK was not making 18 million this year we would not be so hand cuffed with the Lux tax. I like AK but not worth that much money. If the Jazz struggle, look for AK to be traded. He is holding us back from signing guys to deepen our bench. Dont get me wrong, KOC has done a good job w/ what he has.

Old Timer

I didn't think the Bulls were as desperate as they have shown. Comparing Brewer & Redick is a no brainer, I'll take Redick 2 to 1 over Brewer any day. Apparently the "Booze" has more influence over Chicago management than one would have thought. Just shooting alone defines the 2 players mentioned here, but as for other aspects I suppose they were close. I couldn't be happier about the way things have unfolded for the Jazz, so I'll leave it at that!

@Miles

i love it how SI really has become an afterthought when it comes to breaking things. Before the internet, they were number one. now, I really cant remember the last time I heard someone quote SI as breaking a big piece of news. I dont see SI advertisements anymore. The only time I ever see a copy of SI is at the doctors.

An Asian Perspective

Signing Ronnie Brewer cheaper than Kover.

That's a steal.

Kover's and Brewer's salaries combined is still cheaper than what Wes Matthews's gonna get from Portland.

I don't know what to say...

Jazzman72

That's great for Ronnie. I'll cheer him and Kyle when the Bulls come to town, but not Loozet.

Congratulations to these two guys. They have always been great citizens and good team players. This should be a pretty good spot for both of them.

OgdenUte

I think this is the Bulls trying to position themselves for the D-Will sweepstakes!

Man, Boozer better not take away Fez. I think with the new line up Fez will help us out more this year. But I guess if he goes maybe then we could hire James Augustine.

@Old Timer

You'd take Redick 2 to 1 over Brewer? I need to meet your connect.

@Jazz-Nation

The exciting thing is that AK said he'd come back to the Jazz for way less when his contract is done. Can you imagine how good this team could be next year if we still have AK and an extra $12-$15 million to bring in another player?

The return of Miles

Great great now we can be entertained again with the back and forth stuff, seriously I think CJ could be an all star as early as this season. He came a long way toward the end of last season. He is hungry for the season, nice article about CJ in August Slam magazine.

I agree maybe we could play the Bulls in the finals, I can dream i guess

I agree I hope that all 3 returning players get cheers, be as classy as ANgel Fans when Vlad Guerrero came back with Texas. He waved to the crowd and even was cheered and given standing ovation after he crushed the Angels in a game 2 weeks ago.

toddfromsantaana

Rod Benson would be way better than James Augustine

Peter Coyotl

But James Augustine would have the slight edge on Rod Decker.

TRUTH

Adding Brewer to the jaz would be a bad move....if Brewer was so good for us then why did we trade him.....thats right because the dude can't hit a barn......sure he is athletic, hustles and all that but he is a liability on d and on the o.....rememebr Kobe playing ten feet off him doubling up the middle begging Brewer to throw up a shot...usually a brick.....

We need to move forward....I still Like Barnes, Amundsen and trading AK47....but no one in the NBA is that stupid!

The Big One

Why would anyone think we would want Kover or Brewer back, journeyman at best
