Tennis is fun when you play against someone who challenges you. It pretty much all depends on who your playing against.
Tennis is truly international, played by both men and women, at almost any age (name another sport that crowns a champion in the 90 year old division).
And the vast improvements in racket technology mean that many of us in our 50's can play at a level close to what we attained in our 20's (know any other sports where that's true)?
Having said all that-I don't mind if the rest of you don't play-makes it easier to get a court.
