Brilliant.
It never ends...as soon as one group heads off to prison, another figures the same sham will work and away we go again. Just pay your taxes...
They target this church for tax evasion but business that employ illegal aliens and don't pay taxes on the illegal employees are left alone. The IRS and tax commission need to refocus their duties to include the 21 million illegal aliens not paying taxes.
No different than the Stimulus and TARP plans that get money circulating. The guys a crook, but so are the politicians that create a system where 50% of the citizens don't pay taxes in order to create a class of tax-exempt voters who keep them in office.
EVERY PERSON should pay taxes and NO PERSON should receive a tax refund on money they haven't paid (current system).
No BUSINESS should pay taxes because all they do is collect those taxes in the form of higher product prices.
No wonder guys like Hartshorn play these games. Our federal government sets the pattern and encourages such nonsense.
Amen, (pardon the pun) to that statement my2cents.
The illegal activity and smoke screen will be the downfall.
Also the article yesterday pointed fingers at the contributor of the list of thirteen hundred illegal aliens. That was just a whistle blower move and now are they the bad guy?
With the list in hand, why are they who are listed and consequences to it ignored?
Sadly, Church Fraud is a very real concern, with potential risk from the outside as well as within. There are simple steps to increase the security of your churches finances but it is difficult to know where to start. I recently found out about a Christian Accounting firm that offers online tools and support for churches. They have some excellent resources as well as an online questionnaire that will determine whether your church is at risk. Their service is called Weeds in the Garden.
