Sexual exploitation of a minor? For god's sake.

What she did was awful, but it's not like she posted actual child pornography.

Yes, 'M' it IS like she posted "actual pornography". She used PhotoShop (or something), but - and I can't believe I'm saying this - it was well done. Not to mention that it was distributed at a middle school...not to mention the derogatory remarks that were scrawled across the bottom of the pictures. Those kids couldn't tell the difference between those photocopies and a real picture. *I* could barely tell the difference, and I know where the original pic came from. In my opinion those charges are too light, given everything else she's done to our family this year, but hey. I'm just The Momma.

The most she should be charged with is criminal mischief, distributing pornography, and dealing harmful materials to a minor.

The picture is NOT of a minor, regardless of what "The Momma" thinks. She is not exploiting an acutal minor.

And to have to register as a sex offender for this, is just idiotic.

Let's think about this, "Not Exploiting An Actual Minor"? Well it is a "Minor's" face on a REAL BESTIALITY PICTURE, only the face was changed to the "minor" as an act of "Revenge"? I agree in some aspects, to have the "Woman Register as a Sex Offender for this is just idiotic", is it? She placed sexually explicit material in the public bathroom of a "MIDDLE SCHOOL"! Not a high school, not a college, not a work place, but a MIDDLE SCHOOL! I would be very upset if my daughter walked into a middle school bathroom and saw something like this displayed! Let alone with a classmates FACE on it! Sadly we could down grade it as much as we like, but the fact is, my daughter would have that image emblazoned in her brain for life! Porn images are something that CAN'T BE ERASED from the brain, they are there for life, whether the "Victim" who saw the picture wants it or not. I must say I have "Mixed" feelings about this, and the "Level" of punishment the woman would deserve, however the fact remains, It is Bullying of the WORST and most Disgusting Form!

I'm embarrased to admit that I actually know this psycho. She is the type of person who blames everyone around her for her plight in life. My guess is that she thought that this girl had done something to slight her daughter who is about the same age, and wanted to get revenge on her behalf.

While some may be inclined to go easy on her because she was 'only defending her child', this woman needs the maximum punishment. I can guarantee that for every act she is accused of, there are countless others for which she has never been caught. She is a chronic offender and should be locked away for a long time.

@ The Momma: I would absolutely love to hear any details of "the whole story". This woman went to pretty extreme measures to get her point across. I imagine that you or your daughter did something to greatly upset her? What exactly happened here????

First, Momma, I am very sad to see this has happened. It was something that cannot be undone.

Second, for those of us that have lost the ability to do math because calculators are everywhere, 15 years x 18 offenses = 270 years. Would keep her out of trouble for a while.

Luis: Yes, I greatly upset her. I told my daughter that she couldn't be "best friends" with an adult and this is that alleged "adult"s response.

@ Momma, by Adult I assume you mean the offending mother, Danette. If so, that is a little creepy that she wanted to be best friends with your daughter. As a matter of fact there is a very creepy recent story where a mother sexually abused and killed one of her duaghters friends. I have 2 daughters and would never let them be "best friends" with a much older child much less an adult. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, becuase now the jig is up on this lady before she can do any real damage.

It doesn't really matter, I think, what Stark was upset about. She's obviously not only mean but mentally ill, and in any case, nothing could justify what she did to that girl.

@ The Momma: I guess I can't post URLs here but google: Melissa Huckaby. CNN covered this story pretty thouroughly, so you could put this name into CNN's search field as well. This is one of the most horrible stories I have read. As a parent it leaves you wondering who can you trust in this sick, misguided world.

@The Momma: Good call to end this 'friendship'. If this was her response, I can only imagine what might have happened if you had allowed the friendship to continue. Your daughter should be grateful that you stepped in as a concerned parent.

Wow this is a grown up and a mother as well that did this!!! Hopefully her child(ren) have been removed and placed with an actual adult? This is not a matter of knowing why this so called grown up did this but the fact that she did! There is no excuse for this behavior period. She not only exploited this child but all kids that seen these pictures, porn is porn regardless of the face and body being of two different people it is porn and all who come across these pictures were exposed to this discussed, she should be charge with one count per kid in that school that seen this picture> to the daughter of the momma I hope you have the strength and self confidence to get through this experience and horror I could not imagine what you might be feeling right now, this person that did this to you is in desperate need of mental help and should be locked up in jail or institution. Stay strong.

While the comments posted here are no where near as hateful as those on other news articles for this story, I still find it hard to understand what happened in this country that "Innocent until PROVEN guilty" is no longer something that the majority of people relate to. Because something is posted on the web, television, radio it of course MUST be the truth. There are at least 2 sides to any story, and more given other perspective. Knowing the parties involved in this situation, it is very sad to me that certain "truth" is just as veiled in hate online as it is when it is spoken aloud. This article states what the charges are and what they pertain to, it does not however have all sides of what led to these allegations. Nothing has been PROVEN beyond a reasonable doubt. But everyone seems more than willing to cast stones. If concrete evidence had been obtained wouldn't the charges have been handled faster than 30 days later?
