This is just the type of silly article you expect to find in a place with little diversity . . . of course you didn't mention anything about needing to add an Indian or an Asian or a European or an Arab or an . . . They are not the first family nor the thousandth family in America with diverse ethnicities with the family.

What an inspiring article. Good for the Waddoupses! They seem like very loving, unselfish people.

Chiefcounsel-- You have missed the point. This is a heartwarming story about people providing children what they need most, love and security. There is nothing silly about that!!

The title of this article is a thoughtless eye-grabber which takes away from the true message, fostering and adopting children. The implication of the "mini-U.N." suggests the family's goal is to have a kid from every country instead of helping children in need, no matter their ethnic background. The family would be just as inspiring if their house was full of white kids. Isn't the point that single-adults can become foster parents and that many adoptions can happen as a result of fostering as well? Drop the race junk, it suggests a lack of intelligence.

Wonderful article about an inspiring couple and their cute kids! (I agree, though that the headline is a dud.)

I like the part about Utah having coming around and letting go of that silly old-fashioned idea that families need two parents. Such progress.

I don't know how I feel about allowing people to adopt children if they would dress them in U of U apparel against their will.

:-)

I'm kidding. I have a lot of respect for people who adopt children. I think it's fantastic that people are willing and caring like that.
