Preserving farm land is a must and development should not be the decision of developers who have but one motive, greed.

I think farm land should be tax free land to the farmers and families who work or inherit farms who wish to farm them. Inheritance taxes of millions of dollars are why we lose farms and farm acreage. To preserve the farm lands, we must stop taxing inheritance to preserve it. If farm land is sold for other than farming, the land should be heavily taxed and penalized to buyers for all the taxes all the years a farm was tax free. And this should include past inheritance taxes of all previous owners as a cost to buyer. Force the buyers who want to change zoning to pay the millions of dollars.
