The EPA couldn't monitor a wet dream if it tried. The only thing they do is stick it to you with excessive fines for nothing.example:you spill a quart of oil on the soil it will cost 25k if they find out about it.The actual cost of cleanup is about 300.00.you dig up a 3x3 square area put it in a approved container. They charge 25k because they're the gov't and they don't want any competition.
Thank you, Rep. Matheson, for showing concern about this oil cleanup, and holding the EPA to account for proper standards. I hope you are doing the same with Chevron.
Thanks Matheson, deregulation has really served our community and the Gulf well. Sitting on the House Energy & Commerce Committee you should be a proponent of regulation that ensures the safety of our communities. You profess to be an advocate for environmental protection ergo our protection, yet you are limp when it comes to upholding corporations to rules/laws that would protect and better serve your/our community locally and at large. We get it, you're not fooling anybody! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. We are not fools, NO MORE MATHESON!

I don't know the vote numbers off hand, but how many were AGAINST oil regulation in Utah?
Considering the fact that majority of Utah reps are Republicans, I can take a guess!
Be against Matheson for his choices, but we all know who has been pandering to big oil for years.
The Republican party.
"The EP agency said it does not have concerns that groundwater near the Red Butte Creek spill has been significantly affected because there are no domestic wells in the area." Nope, just wildlife and trees and plants and every other necessary living thing. Excuse me? How ignorant a statement from our local EPA.
