I love this story. This is an absolute triumph for this family. I have followed their stories and have grieved with them. I am so happy they did this. What a year for them. Congratulations.
Beautiful story and photos. Thank you.
Wonderful Accomplishment Paul! You continue to inspire me with your optimism for life and your beautiful music.
I live in So Ut and think of Brian whenever I pass mile marker 16 on SR59, the spot where Brian lost his life. Brian was a very gifted individual. I think it is great that NAU has honored him with the endowment and lectureship.
What a positive story, this family has had quite a lot on their stress plate the last few years. It is wonderful that they are making this about the positives and celebrating Paul's life and honoring Brian and Paul's heart donor and sharing the day with them. I have no doubt that both were close by and feeling pure joy for Paul and knowing that he can go on and share more music.
Awesome story! I go from reading about a monster like Gardner to this faith-promoting experience. We need more stories like this. Congrats, Paul, on your continuing recovery! The pictures were amazing. I loved the one of the entire hiking party! Keep it going strong, my friend!
It is good that their family is so close. We can each learn from the lesson that tragedy can lead to hope.
What a great story. Thanks to all involved for allowing the family's stories to be shared through the years and congratulations Paul on this wonderful accomplishment.
I have followed Paul's story for a long time now and I am thrilled he made the climb with his family. It is amazing he even wanted to attempt this hike after just one year, but anyone who has ever listened to him talk knows why and how he could accomplish this. Congratulations Paul and Lynette!!!
Awesome story, awesome family.
Thank you
Great, powerful, positive and wonderful story that should have been on the front page, above the fold, of the "national", or the A section!! Instead, we are subjected to that travesty of justice, "The Ronnie Lee Gardner Organic Gardener and Youth Counselor Show Brought To You By Your Tax Dollars"!! Oh well, at least it wasn't David Allgiers and his whining lawyers wanting to cover his tats so we can see the real "man" inside the "artwork".
Great determination. I was surprised to see a baby facing out in a wrap in the slide show. That is a very bad position as the hip is not supported in the correct position. The back is pushed into a hollow of the back and baby sits on the most sensitive part of the body which can lead to deformations or infection. It also puts the hip ball against the hip socket at a bad place. Not to mention the stimuli crashing in on the child that is by far too much to handle for a little one. Please have babies facing the baby wearer, never out! There is plenty of educational material out there, please take a few minutes to research.
All the best to the family.
WOW! What do I have to complain about???
