This kid's got pizazz. I think he could be the next Bob Dylan.
I was there and it was so much fun! He sounded great esp on God Bless the Broken road, a song I had never heard before.
I think David Archuleta has a great future ahead of him, and he has a great voice. But I do wonder a little bit about his writing a memoir at the tender age of 19. I suppose he's been through a lot of stuff most of us will never experience, but still...
In any case, best of luck to him.
John, I think he may actually be the next David Archuleta. I hate when performers are compared to other singers. Most of them are pretty unique people.
Charles-
I emailed my two nieces (ages 13 and 15) in Florida, different families and NOT LDS. They have very little "influence" from Utah. They know exactly who David Archuleta is. I asked if other kids in school know who he is. They both said (different schools) that EVERYONE in their schools know who he is.
Now I would think that would be everyone they associate with. But that would even be less than anicdotal (sp?) and more like sure evedence that he IS know outside of Utah and the Mormon environment.
Just goes to show you're never too young to start a journal. Good for Dave for sharing his talents...
Perseverance? He is how old?
Um...before you make derogatory comments you might want to read the book. He has already been through a lot for his young age. Probably more than most older folks. He also has a wisdom way beyond his years. You would be surprised.
