Reserved seats are a gift from heaven to the moviegoer!
Centerville will rue the day it approved this theatre. With this approval will come more traffic, crime, and general societal ills. In addition, it is likely that this theatre will show movies that are not consistent with the historic values that mad this community great.
Oink oink oink. Smell the pork. Mmmmmmmm.
"With this approval will come more traffic, crime, and general societal ills."
I would really like to see some studies that show any correlation between the construction of a movie theater and an increase in, uh, crime and other societal ills. I'm certainly not going to take your word for it, given your prior propensity towards wild hyperbole and outright falsehoods.
Jason has obviously accepted the message of the modern entertainment industry that it ca do no wrong.
First, it should be obvious that adding thousands of parking stalls to accomodate this theatre will increase traffic dramatically. Second, any law enforcement officer will confirm that, without question, adding these facilities adds a criminal element that was not present before. Third, look at what these movies portray. Most modern movies portray violence and immorality as positive values that should be immitated.
Hey, we should all give John a break. I went to the district and had to pay 16.50 for my movie (in D-Box, which is awesome). Then 6 dollars for popcorn and 4 bucks for a drink. I think that I was robbed.
Is there really a demand for a theater in Centerville? Station Park is set to break ground on their movie theater in Farmington in the end of August, opening in spring of 2011.
Thank You Centerville!!! Finally, a great opportunity for families and couples to go to a quality theater without needing to drive to Salt Lake. The tax benefits will be important for our education systme as well.
