That ending was an utter nonsense cop out and SUPER lazy. It was a bunch fo drama writers tinkering with sci-fi and not knowing what to do.

It wasn't just the ending that was bad writing, after season 2, the whole show lost its way.

When you watch the adjacent shows with producer and actor interviews, you learned these writers NEVER had ANY IDEA where this show was going. They let casting decide who would be on the plane, then created the details of the story.

Writers and producers NEVER had a LONG TERM vision for anything, and that was reflected by the meandering and inconsistent events we witnessed.

I saw a news article that said there were 3 alternate endings. THREE?! Further evidence the writers and producers had no idea where the show was going.

Lost didn't "end," it merely stopped in a semi-satisfying way.

I agree wit you on both Lost and Channel 4. Cop out and train wreck.

KTVX going from the credits to that idiotic live picture and Survivorman rip-off (because the reporter was "lost" - get it?)was agonizingly bad. Then they go to the Lost party where the reporter obviously hasn't watched an episode ever.

As horrific as the news coverage was, I couldn't turn away. Maybe that was their plan to get ratings.

But that dude's Horace costume at the party was pretty good.

...and I thought the creators of Lost weren't going to end it with "everybody's dead" - LAME!

I loved the final episode, and the whole final season. It was the 2nd and 3rd season that series struggled, when the writers didn't know how it would end.

The only thing worse than KTVX's very lame and stupid effort to be in LOST arena, was the newscast right after the Oscars with the anchors dressed in formal wear- it's a NEWS show not some celebrity kiss up wannabe. The impression you get from the Ch. 4 oftentimes seem like they are visitors to the area attempting to seem like locals with no success.

When you wrote "anticlimactic" and "lazy," you pegged it. I could not have been more disappointed.

Pierce has hit the mark this time. However, the final episode had many more problems than just terrible acting and ridiculous plot lines. The viewers had hoped that Lost would redeem itself by emphasizing what is good about humanity. Instead, it continued its relentless promotion of dishonesty and immorality. What a disappointment.

Usually I agree with Pierce. This time however, I wholeheartedly disagree. I for one am a Lost "nut." I listened to all the podcasts and I really put my time in so to speak. I think people got out of the finale whatever effort they put into the show.
