Why don't we get the membership records for WildEarth Guardians and establish a colony of prarie dogs in each of their back yards? That way they can preserve the praries dogs and the other land owners can enjoy the use of their property.
Prairie dogs don't carry plague. They will die from it if infected (by fleas) but cannot transmit it.
