That is one tall 4 year old! Hope they find him soon.

LuVePacifica

I wish his Family well in the Safe Return of finding this young child soon..

Epicurus

Ohhh...I am afraid this is not going to end well. I hope, hope, hope the mother and step-father are not involved...

This is a confusing report. It sounds like it was updated with the information about not needing volunteers, but still describes the boy's disappearance and what he was wearing. It does not bode well at all. Poor kid!

Whatthe?

This is so sad, hopefully a good ending, but doubtful. Here is what we know: There was a search, the guardians are still in police custody and all sex offenders within range had been contacted by police. Within the period when the guardians were in custody and all sex offenders were contacted, the authorities called off the search. Somebody in those two groupings knows what happened to the boy. So sad.....

Reasonable Person

This is so sad.
It's logical to speculate that this little boy was NOT in the habit of running away ... and that (since the mother/stepdad are still being interviewed), someone close to him is responsible.

I hope I'm wrong.

Unbelievable

HEARTBREAKING story yet again. May God let the madness cease.

Our little ones are losing out in a self obsorbed society.

Kids feel their parents stress, and parents take it out on kids because they can. The innocent suffer.

Many parents who would never do what these parents allegedly did, still mistreat their own kids. I know I feel guilty all of the time when my stress hinders my focus on the many sensitive needs my children have.

Americans are under overwhelming stress from a greedy government, that those the most negatively effected, can't fight back. Once demoralized, self worth becomes depleted. When that happens, people stop loving themselves. If you can't love yourself, you can't love your children.

Basically poverty breeds violence. Some people are victims of themself, but many are victims of circumstance out of their control.

Unfortunately, to many of those blessed with wealth consider themself above others. It's the kind of pride that takes the perspective of blessings, tosses it aside and pumps the chest out in self accomplishment.

Hey those of you that dominate the market and own the titles; please share the wealth in a fair and workable manner.

This makes me so sick, so sick. I hope they throw the book at them. Absolutely disgusting.

How so very sad... I feel so bad for the father in VA. Why.. why would anyone kill a innocent little boy. Why would a mother allow it or participate in it. Rest in peace little one, rest in peace. For now you are cradled in the hands of God.

this world is so full of evil and its the reason how someone could do something like this...wake up folks we need Jesus!!

SimonSays

Surely the death sentence is appropriate for people deliberately killing an innocent child? Or is the life of a child not valuable?

Wow that was fast finding the body, good job police force. Seems they are charging the parents a little quick but they obviously know more than we do. If they did do it, I wonder why. If it was so they'd have more time to do the things they wanted that's beautiful irony as they'll be in jail unable to do any of those things for the rest of their lives. Whoever killed him, that's really messed up to kill a 4 year old boy, they obviously have no respect for life and deserve to be out of society one way or another.

Kelley

This makes me cry. How could anyone hurt him? I have a grandson this age. I can't imagine how anyone could do this.

Hossman

Justice and the security of society demand the death penalty if found guilty. A quick and a fair trial and a quick and a fair judgement.

lin

I read the article and missed the part where the police decided the boy was already dead and they just needed to find the body. Did the parents confess? Did one turn against the other? How did the boy die?

On the other hand

What a heartbreaking story.

Maybe we should pass a law requiring a review of custody arrangments any time a custodial divorced parent gets remarried. If this boy had stayed with his dad, he'd probably still be alive.

I happen to know the step-father reasonably well and this is shocking. I hope the truth comes out, whatever it is. What a terrible terrible tragedy...

ThunderBell

Come On gdog3. There are NO excuses for such a thing. We don't want to hear about "Stress" "Greedy Government" lack of "Self Worth" "poverty breeds violence" "circumstance out of their control" or how their mommy treated them when they were little.

There are ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES that can explain away the act or acts of child abuse and homicide.

Obviously none of you read the title of the article.
