Wow! 1:47 from a guy who runs 48 s in the 400 is amazing. I don't know how he can run that race that fast.
This is incredible for somebody fresh off a mission. Consistency is key in running, and a mission makes that impossible. He should be even better next year.
Nice article, thanks. He actually ran unattached on Mar. 27, at the Stanford Invite, running 1:48.9; that's when it was decided to pull the redshirt. He was back at Stanford in blue on May 1, and we agree - it was stunning!
