The story on Sim Gill going against Lohra Miller sounds like there are only two candidates in the race. I am glad to know that the Libertarian Party also nominated its candidate today, Jon Grimes. Now there will be a REAL choice.
Jon Grimes is the libertarian candidate, and therefore will never be a choice period. He is just some guy running in the race.
@utd
A person always has a choice, even a choice not to vote, which many people of eligible voting age exercise.
I predict Jon Grimes will receive a respectable number of votes in the Salt Lake County D.A.'s race from thoughtful people who cannot in good conscience support either the incumbent or her Democratic challenger -- who both seem to be in a contest as to whom can best deprive the citizenry of its liberty -- despite the arrogant and dismissive naysayers ... many of whom are likely invested in the status quo.
Holly Mullen does not have what it takes. Bloggers are saying she's a lightweight made popular because of her columns in SLC newspapers. I think she lacks insight and leadership. They didn't like here at SLWeekly.
Corroon proved at convention why he is the right man for Utah. He is a great leader who puts smart and reasonable leadership over partisan politics. He's the best choice to lead our state in such difficult times. I am looking forward to the upcoming election, and to four years of Corroon as Utah's governor.
