Seriously?

As a delegate, I have been asked by my precinct to vote for a candidate OTHER than Bob. Since none of the challengers have an extensive legislative history, we have to go by their life experience and background in deciding who is the best fit for the job.

After careful study, I believe Tim Bridgewater has the best chance of succeeding in Washington. I like his business and economics background and think we need more of that viewpoint in the Senate- especially in light of our President's complete inability to understand basic economics. I also like that he is a SMALL business guy- not a BIG business guy.

Tim is better than Lee. There are way too many lawyers in the US Senate. 54 to be exact. As if adding one more will make things better. No businessman would write a 2000 page healthcare bill. But a lawyer would.

The question that no one is going to ask and Bennett will never answer: Senator Bennett, why is it that you seem to think there is no one in Utah but you who can occupy a Senate seat when you will be 77 years old on election day 2010? Follow up: Senator Bennett, why didn't you just retire this year?

I like Mike Lee over Tim Bridgewater for the Senate seat. I think that Tim has good intentions but like many businessmen (Bob Bennett, anyone?) I worry that he is too willing to make the decision that is expedient, ala TARP. I think that Mike Lee will be more principled and guided by what the Constitution says.

I believe that Cherilyn Eagar is the only one running who has supported and been active in fighting for conservative values for the last 30 years at the local, state, national and international level.
