Grad speeches mostly come off pretty much the same. Here's how I've seen it work for most grads. First, most of them aren't going to change the world. That's just how it is. After all the schooling and churching and parenting this far in their lives they need to stop and get to know someone. Themselves. Think to, for and of yourself for a few years. Figure out how you deal with success and failure and stuff life throws you. They need to grow. Not physically, they can save that for middle age. Take the time to figure out who you are and you'll be ready for what's ahead. Determine what success is for you.
Why didn't President Monson speak at BYU's graduation? Weird.
