Sounds like a nice get. If the replacement players are better than the ones who left, then all of the turnover won't be such a big deal. Time will tell.
So, what chemistry did Clyburn feel or see. Our Utes had neither this past season, and with Boylen as the coach - They'll end frustrated just like those who have already departed the team, such as Brown and Henderson.
It looks like Boylen went out and did his job. The kid looks like a nice get.
Congrats to Boylen. Maybe he will make the team competative.
I'm sure hoping so.
We need you Utes strong.
Quetazicoatli...what would you know? You are either a Boylen basher or a Y-ner, in either case, you are a know nothing. The coach has a nice signing. We need scoring punch....Brown was a cancer and Henderson wanted to party first and play later.
The young man has apparently got a lot of talent and the Ute players did their thing. Too bad the coach is weak though. That's why two of his best from last year ditched!
It'll be interesting to see if Boylen can develop some team chemistry this year.
Utah's defense has been pretty good, but Utah's offense has resembled what you normally see in a pickup game down at the local gym, a bunch of guys running around throwing up shots whenever.
It's great to finally hear some good news about Utah basketball.
From everything I have heard, this kid will be a great fit for Utah and land a starting spot right away.
Let's face it, it shouldn't be that hard to replace Brown - streaky player who perfected the art of the turn over. Henderson never impressed me - he has a good shot but he is a punk and a very selfish player. Once teams figured out they needed to guard him, his numbers dropped.
Boylen has this next year to prove himself - he has done it before, so hopefully he can do it again.
Go Utes!!!
We're now ready to compete for the mwc title. NM, tds, and sdsu will have nothing on us this year.
We got rid of the selfish players and are ready for a serious run.
go utes!
Clyburn is a huge get for the Runnin' Utes. We beat out Majerus and Northern Iowa to get him. Must have something to do with us joining the Pac-10 in the fall of 2011. I have high hopes for the squad this coming season. Now that we got rid of the deadweight, i.e. Henderson, and Brown, we wil be able to develop chemistry and cohesion. They are also after Josh Watkins who was the NJCAA player of the year.
Boylen has obtained a couple of solid-looking JC players, but I don't know if I would suddenly say that NM, TDS, and SDSU have nothing on the Utes. Not to mention UNLV.
Let's hope for significant progress in 2010-2011. Being consistent and achieving a winning record are the first orders of business. Competing for a conference championship is the next, followed by an NCAA tourney berth. Keep progress happening, Coach!
This kid must like a fair amount of contact with his head coach. Congrats young man.
We are very thankful for Will's committment, because we are really desparate to find enough players to field a team.
I am a die hard Ute fan and I am really glad that Marshall Henderson is gone... That kid had a snotty attitude and cared only about himself... I am on the fence with Boylen right now but one more year won't hurt... I hope it doesn't bite us in the butt, because these kids deserve to win and that is why I am on the fence on keeping Boylen or letting him go because it is a waste of a year basically for these players!!
