Would have been nice to have a chance to vote on it. Maybe next time.

It takes 95,000 signatures of the people to get ethics into the legislature and only one mentally deficient legislator to outlaw wolves when and if they come into Utah? The real Wolves are already in the state, they're in the state capital and have no intention of giving up all the bribes and free lunches they as the
elite ruling class enjoy at the peoples expense.

Like many other Utahns, I signed the petition electronically. Although UEG sent me dozens of emails, they never notified me that my electronic signature was invalid. When I signed up, their website specifically noted that they'd contact me if they needed a paper signature. Frustrating!

We live in a republic. If the people doing things for us don't do what we want, we vote them out.

I don't like the idea of giving power to some click that I do not have the power to vote out.

Both ideas have a point, but are the wrong solution.

This ethics reform is extremely flawed. Most of the people who sign this have not even read the proposal. Most do not realize that the first 5 signers of the initiative will be the governing body - not elected or appointed.

Does their need to be reform? Of course! But, this initiative is as bad for ethics reform as the national health care bill was at improving health care.

If you are having second thoughts regarding whether you should have signed the petition, you can have your signature removed by going to your county clerks office a filling out a form to have your signature removed.

We need the right ethics reform - not the first proposal to come along.

They have obviously done well at policing themselves. hahahhahaha
Shall the local stink tanks like the eagle forum police them. hahahahhah
Flawed is the system that allows elected officials to take bribes and monetary gain from dishonest businesses and people. These elected officials should be the most ethical people possible yet very few seem to even understand the word "Ethical" they prefer "Justification" for their deceit and misrepresentation of facts when the people catch them, oh and they caught a few this year.
