Sad but true to how badly we've over-extended ourselves in the new century.
My home appraised 14% lower this year than last. A neighbor's son is a contractor and says his son is busy as he can be building homes. So who is to say. I think the economy is a little bit better. I don't understand why we are so high in foreclosures with a better employment record than some states.
People shouldn't buy a house unless they really research it and can afford it. Unfortunately there is a lot of self-entitlement in this state, people think they deserve everything without having to pay for it.
re: Naruto
You're right. But also, mortgage companies were all too happy to squeeze unqualified buyers into homes they could never afford by becoming "creative" in their lending practices.
Naruto, Williary are both right.
There are 4 homes for sale just on the block I live on. We are fortunate to have 3 incomes in that home. It used to be 4.
During this challenging time, I would be hard pressed to see the federal goverments attempt to help home-owners as a bad thing.
Because, lets be honest, it worked in the depression.
something is wrong in the table listing the foreclosure rates. Utah is ranked 5th and 9th. Gee, how many utahs are there?
