CobaltWe won in LA last year, which was also where we got our first ever
road win. I think that if there is a place we can win, it is in LA, but I do
not see that happening Saturday.
It is good to see that RSL had the guts to pull it out last night but I also
worry about Saturday. At least this is good training on what the experience
will be like later this year. Guys need to step up. We need to hold onto 2-0
leads so that we don't have to put in so much work at the end of the game. A
tie in LA is a great result for me. Always hoping for better though! Go RSL!
A hard slick surface had everyone falling down last night. Slip and fall
led to second SJ goal. Even with that as an excuse, Mckenzie seamed to be the
weakest link in a defense that had a bad second half last night. Biggest bad
trait of RSL is mentally taking a break after taking a lead. Not
holding out hope for Saturdays game against LA. Too many starters had to put
significant minutes into this match + Morales, Wingert, and Grabavoy being out
due to injury + an LA team that is making it look easy right now + the game is
in LA = Loss This team has beaten the math so far this year though, I
would love coming out of there with a win.
I agree astroboy. Having Wingert out for LA will be tough, and considering that
Findley played 120 minutes, and the 30 minutes Williams expected to play turned
into 60. Glad he was able to somewhat redeem himself with this PK. I also
think Borchers went the full 120. The line up against LA will be interesting.
If we can get a draw there, that will be a success in my mind.
Not so great to hear about an injury and regular starters having to play all
those extra minutes, but always good to win. Especially in a competition they
haven't done well in in the past, good to see them advance. It
looks/sounds like keeping Nelson Gonzales off the field is going to be pretty
It showed a lot of drive to come back and win.
We love late game heroics... Good win though.
