For me, it will be telling if Boozer plays today. Any true star in this league would play in such an important game with such a minor injury. Unless the MRI reveals something much more serious than it sounds, Boozer needs to play. If he does not, then I say you let him leave in the off-season. With the injury he described to reporters, I wouldn't have sat out a pickup game, let alone the GS game, let alone the Phoenix game, let alone the playoffs. It does not sound like an injury that could be made much worse by playing through it.

Boozer needs to re-read his game announcement lines.

6'9" 260 lbs, 5% body fat, comin' atcha', unless I skin my knee, then I'm out.

I suppose it's understandable, right? You wouldn't want to risk your $13 million a year earning potential on the off chance that your scraped knee gets infected.

Heck, you should probably refuse to play in as many games as you can, because each game you play in puts you at risk of career ending injuries. Play it safe. Protect your assets.
