The way Booz heals he will struggle to be ready for the playoffs.
Tomorrow's game is big, the Jazz haven't been coming out with enough energy lately, it is like they are tired.
They have played well enough to be in a position to win the North Western Division, it would be a shame if they don't come out with the energy they will need to take care of business and win this last game.
If they lose they finish fifth, win third, and home court advantage.
Hopefully AK comes back tomorrow.

This is horrible news, I couldn't watch the game (personal reasons), but it seems like BOOZ was hurt. Milsap must step up, for the Jazz to go anywhere in the playoffs.

I'm not an AK person so I don't really care if he comes back or not. The Jazz have won without him, and if he were to return for the playoffs... it gives the Jazz a better than average chance.

I don't want this to be another "won and done" season, not with the way the Jazz have played the last two months. Get well soon BOOZER... very soon!

I promise I will definitely get off Sloan's back if the Jazz can get to the Conference Finals and play the Lakers. To do this we have to take care of business the first 2 rounds. Luckily in coaching matchups Sloan could hold his own over Mcmillian and Carlisle. If Sloan beats Dallas without a homecourt advantage in Round 2 or beats Popovich, that will show me something. Especially if injuries continue to be an issue.

I am not saying I will settle or be happy with anything other "than a ring" That is all that matters, and I want the Jazz to give a good fight and have a chance if we are fortunate to get that far if playing the Lakers. I talk about no noral victories. However, based on talent level and winning 2 playoff rounds if they lost to LA in Semi Finals, I can sleep at night knowing THE JAZZ COACHES AND PLAYERS GAVE IT ALL THEY HAD AND GOT AS FAR AS THEY HUMANLY COULD

This is really sad news. Booze has given it his all this year and if he can't play during the playoffs I'm gonna havbe to listen to all you Booze haters say "ya, but he gets injured in big games... should they really sign him?"

Yes of course they should sign him. Injuries happen to everyone in this league.

@todd... why are you talking about matchups? Haven't you watched the Jazz long enough to know that Sloan generally sticks to a set rotations?

I am resigned to Sloan coaching into the next ice age. However, he has made many adjustments this year that suggest he is a much better coach than last year.

It is now a matter of getting him the right players. PHO and Gentry have developed their young players and play with a long bench. I wish Sloan had done more with Koufos and Fez but maybe he can get 5 minutes of good play here and there and get by.

The season is now hanging on Mathews, CJ, Price, Koufos and Fez, out of necessity. The big expensive guns are down or out. It will take a team effort and very smart PG play. It will take brutal combat in the trenches.

The Jazz have to hold down the TOs (PGs), rebound (the bigs, but the whole team), they have to run the offense and be very efficient (take good shots), they have to control pace (Sloan and PGs), they have to defend (that means inside and 3s).

The Jazz have to grind PHO. They have to stop the pace and the 3s.

If Sloan can do the above with a deplete roster, he deserves COY.

Sloan did not play set rotations at GS. He did what he had to do to win. I expect him to do the same in tonight and in the playoffs.

He does not have to keep the Vets happy by giving them minutes that they do not deserve. He may not have AK or Boozer next year anyway.

This is his best chance in a decade for going deep in the playoffs. He will ride the players who will play. Sloan is going to coach. He has done better this year anyway.

Everyone on the Jazz will fight for the 2/3 seed. Hopefully the young guns will have another great game. Will they have enough to beat a hot PHO team?

PHO would love to play DEN. They own DEN but they do not want to fall to 4th. SA has little to play for but who knows what will happen.

Phoenix was hot last night and odds are they won't be as hot tonight. Its called the law of averages.

Deron stunk it up last night and usually does not have 2 bad games in a row. It was a blessing in disguise that he was in foul trouble and did not have to play so much. He got some rest for tonight.

We should win but when you look at the fact that Booz and AK are out---most teams would be losing with two impact players but Sloans system is not a one on one system so we have higher odds of just plugging in the next bot and winning.

Go Jazz!!

Talk about matchups.... I was impressed last night to see how often the Jazz went with Price, Korver, Matthews, Miles and either Milsap or Okur, and how well it worked with the three wings playing together.

I know they were playing Warriors, a run and gun team, and dealing with foul trouble, but who says Sloan can't change to take advantage of matchups.

I thought it was a masterful job of dealing with adversity last night.

Be a man Korver! We want you to get that record but make it legit buddy. You hid from the 3 point line all night last night. Our team jacked up 18 three pointers last night and you did not shoot one of them???? We have to win tonight. We need good spacing in our offense. Spot up where you normally do. We need you to be a threat from beyond the arc. Don't be the baseball player who sits out the last day to win the batting title or Ricky Davis shooting at the opponent's basket to get a rebound and a triple double. We want you to get the record because you are the most accurate 3 point shooter in NBA history, legitimately. THIS GAME IS TOO IMPORTANT. Personal records do not matter at this point. We can't be dropped to the 5 seed because you are defering the 3's to lesser shooters.

For all the training staff and massage therapists etc, you'd think Boozer would not be so susceptible to strains and pulls like this.

Is he not getting properly warmed-up and stretched before games?

Is he missing some type of nutrient from his diet?

It doesn't seem like these soft tissue injuries should be happening with no contact, first his calf then his side.

We know he's playing for a contract, so I seriously doubt he's dogging it, especially with the second or third seed on the line, which means no Lakers until the third round; and a loss could drop them to fifth seed, which means no home court advantage and Lakers second round.

Boozer has a tough time playing with pain.

This is a heartbreaker for Jazz fans who would love to have Kirilenko, Memo, and Boozer start the first or any game of the playoffs.

It feels like the whole season has been stolen.

Quality-Control

Give Booze some cortisone and let him play 15-20 minutes tonight. He will then have a couple days off before the playoffs start.

GOOD....No Boozer and his big mouth...the team last night was balanced and a winner.
They should be our starters. Fun to watch and win.
