I am sure they are meeting to discuss how to cover this up some more and how to preserve their so called "famil values" image which has been tarnished by numerous individuals.

OK but...

How could Clark have not known all the facts after sitting there listening to Garn recite them. It doesn't seem like a whole lot of new stuff has come to light beyond what Garn said that night immediately before Clark initiated this standing ovation.

Huh?

QUOTE: "If I knew then what I know now, I would have handled the situation differently," Clark said Monday.

You knew ENOUGH, Mr Clark, to know that you shouldn't lead the cheering section for a man who admitted hottubbing with a naked teenager.

You knew enough.

The only thing you didn't know, is how angry the voters would be.

Let's clean house, people.

This movie's already been made, "Dumb, and Dumber".

Utah legislature is...

disgusting.

I can't beleive people CONTINUE to elect those who applaud Garns inexcusable actions.
You deserve what you get.

Utah Dem

District 74

R–David Clark (i)

D–Cyril H. Noble

C–Philip O. Jensen

Being supportive of Garn's admission (although incomplete) and having known about the 'crime' for a few days he should have been well prepared to tell Garn NO to be allowed time to not only embarrass the legislature but the entire state of Utah is beyond belief.
Many of us still question how Garn could have served as a bishop and a stake president having this dirty little secret.

District 74 please support Mr. Jensen or Mr. Noble - anyone but Clark.

Jason

Prove it Mr Clark. If you would do things differently..then do them. Resign your leadership position. Prove your words with some action. As a lifelong Republican, I am disgusted and fed up with the leadership of the party nationally and on a state level.

I Agree, Jason

I totally agree with you Jason. It is time to do something differently, Mr. Clark.

Thankfully, I am in his district and will be voting for anyone but someone who would applaud being naked with a teen and then paying her hush money.

I couldn't agree more with the sentiment that Clark should resign. He should step down from his post, and probably his seat in the house. He should apologize for his actions. The entire legislature should condemn Garn's actions strongly. I won't be voting for any representative that applauded Garn, especially one that hasn't openly condemned Garn's actions (Ken Sumsion- District 56/Eagle Mountain).

This news article---

--amazes me.
The arrogance, the attitude of circling the wagons and the whole feel of we are Republicans and it doesn't matter what we do. We will be re-elected.
TERM LIMITS PLEASE...

NMP

I feel sorry for the families. We should pray for them to stay strong and keep their faith and belief in Jesus Christ. In the end, that is what matters most.

Vote Them All Out this November

This is exactly what happens when one party dominates and rules and runs their operations behind closed doors with the good ol boys. It will only change when we the voters will vote them all out of office and then start with a clean slate of people who really want to serve.

Utah, wake up, it is time to tell the good ol boys their time has come and gone and so should they.

Frank W.

To all politicians: Do the right thing, all of you resign before the people embarass you by voting you out of office. We are finished with your corruption.

Who cares?

Clean house and make sure the family values people do not get in--They seem to be the worst by talking out of both sides of their mouths.Amen

Gene

The Utah Legislature needs serious reform before we can again have confidence and trust in our elected leaders. First Mr. Clark needs to step down. Then the State needs to elect a committee to develope a plan for reform to present to the voters for approval.

If Garn came to me saying he needed a few minutes to talk about a nude hot tubbing experience I would have told him to take a flying leap. Now add the fact that it involved a 15 year old girl, I would have had police escort him out.

Clark needs to step down for allowing such admission of Garn's lewd and filthy behavior on the floor of the people as a personal favor.
