President Uchtdorf is such a great and fun speaker. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
I'm lucky enough to be married to a woman who has been virtuous and faithful throughout her life. That is far more valuable to me than glamor and fame, any day. Sure she's attractive, but that's not what made me want to marry her -- it was her faithfulness and goodness. Pretty girls are a dime a dozen, but a virtuous girl is a pearl of great price.
I hope your wife knows you wrote that.... :)
It was a wonderful meeting! The talks were the best I've heard in a very long time. Not that past one's weren't special, but these were EXTRA SPECIAL!
Your wife is a fortunate woman to be married to someone who recognizes her truth worth and beauty! Should all righteous women be so fortunate!
But, happily ever after may not come in this life. Many assume it "will just happen". I can testify that faith and enduring to the end means sometimes that promise does not occur in this life. Just "having enough faith" that it will happen now is not going to suffice for all young women. Believe me!
however its the heart insid that keeps one coming back and it was my wifes heart an love that keept me going in this life an I think of her all the time so re:New Yorker I hop you sead that in a good way
I saw the meeting. It was wonderful. Such a breath of fresh air in a world gone crazy. I'm so thankful for the gospel and a prophet to guide us in what is right.
What a blessing for these young women to have such wonderful direction in this mixed up world.
What a blessing to be so blessed. We are blessed because of the blessing we recieve. We are truly blessed because of the blessing.
I love this gospel. The hope it brings to us is neverending. And now we get to be blessed by conference next week. Wonderful!
New Yorker, I am not a member of your faith nor do I plan on ever joining your religion. But I had to comment on your comment. That was beautiful and I hope both you and your wife truely value and appericate each other. Every woman would be lucky to find a man such as yourself.
What a wonderful talk President Uchtdorf gave. It was as if he wrote his talk just for my daughter, who wasn't happy that I made her watch the Broadcast. As soon as President Uchtdorf started his talk her attitude changed. She Thanked me for making her watch. And Thank You President Uchtdorf was getting such a wonderful talk. Everyone was talking about it at Church today. Also thanks to all the other speakers...What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday Night with my daughter!
Some years ago I almost made the mistake of marrying a man who was all wrong for me. We had planned to marry in the temple but I kept praying about it and didn't get the answer that it was what was right for me at that time. I can remember so many interesting things that came to me at around that time and one was a comment from one of the Stake presidency where I lived. Upon leaving a meeting, he shook my hand and looked directly into my eyes and said, "Remember who you really are." I will never forget that. It was a definite answer to me at that time and it came out of nowhere. May all young women (AND young men)remember who they really are - that they came from an Eternal Father who wants their eternal happiness. And that happiness comes only from obeying all the commandments and principles of the gospel. And this may be the blessing that they are praying for, that comes in this life, or the peace that comes from knowing that faithfulness will bring the blessing eventually, even if it's NOT in this life.
Have you ever met with the missionaries or recieved lessons? I would suggest you look in that avenue.
President Uchtdorf.
My favorite speaker!
I look forward to hearing from him next week!!!
It was a wonderful meeting. I am truly grateful that I was able to go with my daughter to our ward meeting house to listen to these women and their messages. I am grateful to Pres. Uctdorf for his words. I am so happy and grateful to have these special leaders in my daughters life and in my life.
Awesome meeting. So glad that I have Young Women that I was able to attend this meeting with. Looking forward to a great General Conference.

How true it is. How VERY true it is.
Oh, really? Overcoming adversity is key? Stop the presses!
