Hopefully they are reserving these auditions to americans only and in english only. It would be an affront to america and our history giving a non american, non english, person this honor.
The fountain show at the Gateway, where they have a Canadian, Celine Dion, singing God Bless America.
If you were born in another country and you are now living here and you are a citizen, you should have every right to sing the national anthem. I think it would be very cool to hear somebody singing the anthem that originated from another country.
I hear Roseanne Barr does a pretty good rendition. She's American and speaks English. They should contact her. I'll bet she's available.
