Does not matter what they were riding. I was out in the west desert area in my car yesterday and saw hundreds of bikers riding very close to each other and while I'm very sad that this happened, it can and should be expected when people choose to not spread out distances between these vehicles which offer zero protection. I myself have ridden for years and had I been on a bike, would have ridden a much farther distance from another rider. My sympathies go to all involved...and hope all others learn a valuable lesson.
I was on the ride. I was not at the scene of the accident. This was NOT a head on collision. I believe that two things caused the accident. 1. Not enough distance. 2. Not enough attentiveness. But, I also firmly believe that there is only one reason for this to be a fatality. #1 He was not wearing a helmet!
there is no lesson here somebody died on that ride and the person that died was my dad and my grandma is doing alot better now. but she said that the guy that my dad hit made a dumb move and tried to U-turn and didnt look to see if somebody was behind him. It had nothing to do with them rideing close or not it take one person to mess up to take sombodys life. there no lesson to learn when i life is taken. it hard on my family and all the bikers that knew my dad. and it wasnt his fault he toke
his life to save my grandmas life so hes a hero in the eyes of a lot of bikers so you guys need to hear the story from the people who were on the ride with my dad that day. ask UMF of america. the group my dad rode with.
*FOREVER UGLY*
