NO AK NO WIN.
I sure hope Gaines and OJ get more time tomorrow. Those two are the only one's along with matthews and Milsap that played hard tonight. The Jazz better take that anger out against New Orleans tomorrw. Hopefully Sloan won't be suspended, it looked like he extended his arm at the ref and was saying something but may have been explaining a point. IF THE JAZZ DONT KILLL THE SUNS IN THE LAST GAME OF THE YEAR I WOULD BE SURPRISED

I was worried this was going to happen, Phoenix was upset they let us steal one on their home court a couple of weeks ago and we needed to come out with alot more intensity tonight if we were going to have a chance to win.
Fes got the shaft from the refs and when he comes over to help and alter shots, he needs teammates to rotate and help him. Help the helper. Alot of the time I can't stand Baveta, he doesn't seem to like the Jazz. He is one ref that really calls fouls to the advantage of the star players.
Let's hope they can come back tomorrow and play with intensity and toughness and win. We can't afford a loss at home.
To start the game both Booz and Okur were flat and let Stodamire do almost any thing he wanted and also Stodamire & Lopez made them miss several shots that allowed the Suns to get off to such a good start. That and DWill & CJ's poor shooting to start.
Milsap needs to step up better when Okur goes down, 3 for 11, not to helpful.
we screwed up with Milsap. Overpaid. Like Ak and Okur. We never learn.
Finally, the Jazz have a player who can dunk it in a crowd without getting blocked and not having to spend time gathering himself.
That Jeffers stuff was something beautiful.
This kid might be worth keeping around. He certainly showed he can play.
Who cares if we're loaded at that position.
Because no one's really stepping up (no superstar at 2), it doesn't hurt to have enough to choose from to find one that's ON in a given game.
Millsap was a definite waste of money. He is not the future power forward for the Jazz. He thinks he needs to score now and has lost the things that made him a fan favorite. If Boozer leaves and he is our go to guy look for the Jazz to be in the lottery for years to come. And another thing Memo needs to go, he is complaining of something wrong every weekend and finding reasons to miss games. You get paid over 10 million a year and yet you sit out with a tummy ache????????? The end of this season is starting to look a lot like last years. And is it just me or does Fes really get called for some ticky tack stuff???
OK, the haters will be out in force, but really, those were some cream-puff calls against Fesenko. And Robin Lopez should thank the god of bad hair that they called a foul when Fess stuffed him. That said, Coach was right about Fess needing to settle down and play a little more carefully, especially with the refs watching him like a hawk. He did switch pretty well defensively, and someone else needed to rotate and help the helper. But also folks, Millsap had a tough draw, and because of the illness to Okur and Fesenko's foul trouble, he had to once again be playing way bigger guys. Finishing with a double-double, I think he did pretty well under the circumstances. I hope that Coach continues to give Fesenko minutes down the stretch run to the playoffs, because he needs those minutes, and the Jazz need him. I like that Koufos has had a good D-League assignment, because whether he comes back tomorrow or down the line, he's going to be way more confident.
Jeffers in the games I've seen, I think has definitely shown he belongs in the NBA.
Same old Jazz. They can't win big games. They wont ever win a big games. Don't waste your time watching these guys. They are out in the first round. AGAIN! Way to go Jazz your the best!
Jeffers and Korver should be getting the minutes
Didn't watch the game, whew. I know the jazz have been getting off to alot of slow starts, this is whats going to happen, its going to get ugly. Sloan has to figure out a way to get this team starting off on the right foot again. He's got to figure it out, no one can do it for him.
comeon sloan
figure it out!!!!!!!!!!!
This game showed a lot of thing, but more than any other game emphasized that the Jazz are still only half a team. Key points:
1. Injuries happen, but you play through the pain. Look at Matthews' almost-season-ending injury the game before, yet he comes back and plays tough, the most minutes of anyone, and gets several steals and assists. At least he plays like he wants to win.
2. Memo should never have started. Can understand how hard it is to play sick. But if you're on the floor, play to win. He was terrible.
3. Even worse was CJ. He should never play another game. Yeah, he scored 17, but his bad shots, sloppy defense, and repeated mental lapses are inexcusable. At one point on D, he was looking like a lost little boy.
4. Millsap, Fes, and Korver need to toughen up. They have some great games, but every other game it's "just OK."
5. Nice that DWill's playing, but he has to play well. He's had way too many "off games." Boozer's D was terrible last night, too.
6. Kudos to Gaines and Jeffers - the need more PT.
This is what I was afraid of. The Jazz hit their peak before their allstar break and are likley to be a .500 ball club going thru to the playoffs. Injuries are a big part of it. Williams is hurt all over the place and it showed big time last night. Phoenix is hitting their stride and are likely to overtake the Jazz as the # 4 seed. Jazz out in 6 games 1st round.
Memo should never be starting against the Suns and their run and gun offense. He is too slow getting up and down the court to be effective. Signing him for 2 more years was a waste of time and MONEY!!!
It is fun to see the Jazz still very competitive in the 4th quarter. Not many Suns fans dared leave even though the JAzz were significantly behind.
I think the game would have been better if Milsap would give a better performance, he seems to come out swat 4 or 5 people then go and sit on the bench.
Korver needed to have another birthday...where were you?
I enjoyed the play of Gaines, seems he is capable and growing better with each game..wish he had another half season under his belt though.
Jeffers seems to be doing the right things as well.
And...
Not physical enough.
Poor Sloan has to work daily with this pack of "softies".
His head must be about ready to explode.
Put a body on someone you pack of girls!!!
No AK and no defense--as usual it was just atrocious.
This team has become Mediocre without a healthy AK in the lineup.
Probing questions need to be asked?
Why so many injuries? Lingering injuries?
How tough are these players?
is AK another Bill Walton?
It is clear the Jazz attitude defensively, and focused play is a key of his happiness and health.
As a result, maybe we rush guys back instead of letting them play. Sit these guys out with DWIL already and let them rest until Toronto.
We are not going to win the division, and at this point it is about 4th and protecting home court
We do not need DWIL let him rest tonight. New Orleans is hurting mentally and physically.
Activate Kous. You can get by tonight with Gaines starting over Price with CJ Korver up front with Millie and BOoz. Fes, OJ, Kous and Price will be enough to win tonight...
Lets see if the Jazz remember what Lopez, and Hill has done to AJ and Ronnie with the hard fouls? Don't get me wrong I think the Jazz need to play more like that.
