Since equol is, in fact, a nonsteriodal estrogen (yes, the female hormone) it's no surprise that they are also hoping it will impact male pattern baldness, acne, etc.. Of course, some of us might be a tad worried about what else it might alter. Being that I like my voice how it currently is (among other things) I just might pass on this. Given the link between elevating estrogen receptor activation and breast cancer, my wife may want to pass on this as well.

There is a lot of evidence that says soy can promote breast cancer. Do we take the risk of using this product every day?

Annie

I don't like soy! I read a study as well where it causes breast cancer. Why mess around with science?! They only use people as guinea pigs. Aging is a natural part of the human process and we will all eventually get old and die. Live with it.

This looks like a money making thing off of ignorant people.

Soy

Soy does not increase your risk of breast cancer. Japenese people eat huge amounts of soy and have one of the lowest incidents of breast cancer in the world. Eating the typical American diet (red meat, white flour, sugar, dairy) will definitely increase your risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stroke, etc.

It's amazing to me some of the things people say because of their ignorance. You must be a competitor of NuSkin who has a problem with their success. $24M in the last quarter. What did your company do?
