thanks boozer for costing us a close game, and why in the heck is cj miles taking more shots than deron and the rest of our starters. Sloan needs to reign in miles a little better. A good gauge of how good this team really is will come against Oklahoma city
Actually, staying with Memo and Boozer against Bogut and Ilyasova was a great move. It just didn't work out. The Jazz could have used Fesenko some in the second and third quarters to offset some of that length and stop some of the penetration.
The hometown factor was in play last night, that was pretty obvious, if the jazz were going to beat the bucks they were going to have to play better than the way the officials unofficially helped milwaukee get a win. couldn't happen to a nicer bucks team, ok, now i want to puke.
despite that, how long are we fans going to stand for these slow starts, stand by and watch and know what will inevitably come, oh, korver will come in and we'll make a come back,
makes alot of sense
lose the game early
to try to win it later on
perfect logic
instead of the crazy idea i have
start korver and give the starterts more flexibility
more weapons, someone to pass to?
get the team off early
but
thats why i'm not coach
i'm not smart enough to hold something back like sloan, i can only think about winning, i can't think about some fantasy that the jazz are just as good with their best sg coming off the bench.
i guess the jazz are the spurs, they can afford to do a ginobli with korver, go slaonnnnyyy.
This was a fun, albeit painful, game to watch. I'm glad the Jazz kept fighting.
This loss is just a blip in the road. I thought they had a chance to win but wasn't surprised at the loss. The next game is likely to be more of the same...
Just when you need them, one is in Provo, the other buried on the pine! Last night was a night when more muscle inside at times would have paid off "big" time. This team had better deveop, draft, or trade for an inside presence because thats what your going to see alot of in the future in the playoffs-big plays made in the paint.
the thing is, you know sloan is going to put korver in the starting lineup for the playoffs, if you know thats coming down the road, why avoid the inevitable.
i have a major issue with this funky strategy
as your new gm, jazz fans,
i promise to put our teams talent on the floor, thus giving our team the best chance to win,
i will replace a regime of tyranny
with an institution of wisdom,
the best of the best
todd is interm coach/gm
doug can remain as public relations director
miles-personal cheerleader
and so on
as for me, i'm getting the guilotine ready
the jazz basically got outtoughed by a team that is smaller at every position, besides center
no fesenko
i promise to either trade fesenko or play him
and i'll get a mask and just put it over his head so he cant talk but
Liked the way the Jazz fought back. I also really liked the fact that Boozer got ejected...showed they really care about winning. Bucks are playing well of late and there's no shame losing to them on the road after they just beat Celtics and Cavs.
OUCH
1. cj was the only reason they had a chance 2. only one close game this whole year have we won with boz and okur and sap on the bench. 3. sap was on the bench but not because he had 5 fouls sloan just went with okur and it cost the game like it does everytime but one. the game came down to a reboud he dident get and a put back. not saying millie would have got it but i like his chances better. they just moved him out got the rebound and dunked. ref wasent much help either.
CJ played pretty well in quite a few areas of the game last night, but young fella, your facial expressions and reactions to EVERY whistle on you have to change (see picture in this story). You'll never get any calls or the benefit of the doubt on any close calls. Just play the game (see Wesley Matthews). You'll be better in the long run...
offensive rebound cost the Jazz an important win...if sloan knew how to coach, he would have subbed FES in at the end (atleast)for defensive rebounding...jerry is an extremely stubborn individual who will never change.his inability to adapt to changing players personalities will ALWAYS hold the Jazz back from winning a title..jerry had a star in the making with D-WIL his 1st year & D-WIL rode the pine almost the whole 1st year.Everybody knows how D-WIL felt about that & he's feelings toward jerry back then will be kept secrete..jerry doesn't know how to coach younger players & he'll screw up our # 1 pick this year as well..If the Knicks keep losing, Utah could get the 7th pick which could be stud GREG MONROE. The kid is laid back right now but terrific on the court.jerry could turn this guy against him quickly & ruin another potential star......lighten up smiley !!!!!
Tough loss, but we`ll bounce back.Miles actually did some good things out there even though his shooting wasn`t the greatest.Hey Todd my old center fielder Willie Davis died yesterday,I used to go out and watch him at Chavez Ravine when I was a kid,we`d pay $1.75 for left field bleacher seats.Sandy Koufax,Drysdale,Hodges,Snider...ah the good old days.My pop knew Duke pretty well
Millsap's Achilles heal is his propensity for committing really dumb reaching fouls. Can't help a team when you're doing that as much as he does.
It's like a turnover.
that`s quite the bunch of losers you`ve assembled,I`m sure you`ll do a lot better than Sloan, sure you will, loser
I miss seeing Jazz players get ejected, even Sloan seems to have calmed down in the past 5 years.
But Booze came through for me last night. Even DWill picked up a technical foul last week, I'm lovin it!
post my comment from an hour ago which shows are need for a big man to rebound like FES...What was wrong with the comment ?????
i totally disagree with the comment to start korver. not saying anything against korver, he's more than capable of being a starter. but him coming off the bench gives our team one of the deepest benches in the league. i've noticed lately that usually our starters dig us into a hole early on in the game and then our talent-packed bench comes in and recovers for the team. we need to keep that deep bench. i'd rather have an excellent bench and a good starter team than an excellent starter team and a weak bench. other teams have weak benches, thats where we excel. keep some of the talent on the bench!
It is good that Jazz fans expect such great things from the Jazz but some of you guys have to be realistic, they are not going to win every game. They are playing really well on the road and at least giving themselves a chance to win, which is all you can ask for from a team. You definitely can't blame their loss on that one missed rebound, they struggled offensively all game.
I did like how they didn't settle for outside shots though, they took the ball to the hole A LOT but just were hit too much and couldn't finish. A rough night offensively but they played decent defense, on the ball defense could still be way better.
hey atleast the jazz are in a position to win these games!! they would have lost this game by 20 in december. c.j had a bad shooting night but atleast he was rebounding & getting some steals!!
Wow, being a Jazz fan is certainly never boring...frustrating (yep!) but NEVER boring. Just how many games have we lost because of missed free throws and seemingly doable layups? It seems to me that these "blips in the road" are adding up and not a good thing with the West being so competitive in the ratings. We are getting too close to the count-down to be cavalier about a lost game. But I'm there cheering to the bitter(???)end. Go Jazzboys!!!
