B-U-C-K-S!
Jazz are now 2 full games behind DEN, life is good!
GO NUGGETS!
Jazz went through the motions for a long stretch.
When they played hard the game was within reach.
Wish Fes was been placed in the rotation early on,
I think he would have done well against the Bucks
bigs.
Dwill got owned by Jennings.
THe jazz win a couple Games on the road and them everyone is on the Jazz Train,
then they find out with stops like this,
that train is actually going nowhere,
and it never was.
sloan is NOT all that,
boozer is one of the most over-rated "stars" in the league history.
bottom line: reality set in,
thejazz are good team,
but not great team and certianly not championship team,
and never will as long sloan is coaching,
waht you get is what you get,
a team capable of winning 45-55 games,
losing at some point, usually early, in the playoofs,
getting mediocre draft picks every year,
and repeating this for 22 years.
but some how getting a player or two, that keep the team winning ENOUGH,
to keep the oblivious fans buying tickets and tshirts.
nice business, i guess,
no championships.
while other teams seam able to repeat getting championships.
I guess those teams know the kind players you really need.
I know some will come on here and say: but this is salt lake city.
Would that be the same salt lake city that won championship in the aba?
Our all-star was totally outplayed by their rookie...
Come on Deron...
Quit your incessant whining (as justified as it may have been), push the ball up the court and stay in front of your man on defense.
You are the best point guard in the league so start playing and acting like it EVERY night.
Deron 11 points, minus 13
Jennings 23 points, plus 18
Again, Deron walks the ball up the court most of the game allowing one of the best defenses in the league to get set up against them… poor strategy.
Okur and Boozer kept them in the game with a great effort. CJ had a nice 4th quarter.
What was the rest of the team doing?
Zero threes? (0-10)
Millsap 2 points? Seriously?
Korver took all of 3 shots?
Can't make 'em if you don't take 'em.
Matthews was awful... nerves, I guess.
AK (hope he is OK) with 3 points in 20 minutes.
Gaines seemed disinterested.
No Fess?! Sloan sure does hate that kid.
Sloan's game plan was questionable at best.
I have not mentioned the officiating once this year but this game was truly poorly officiated.
Evans, and now Jennings have now owned Deron Williams this season! HAHA, who is the next rookie? I bet Eric Manor will be on Sunday when the Jazz play the Thunder. HAHA.
go Nuggets!!
Unfortunate. A good comeback after battling all night from behind, then to take a 3 point lead yet. On top of it, injury prone AK out, hope not serious. The putback that put Milwaukee ahead may not have happened if AK had been in there as no size to block out.
I do not see why like college you make some offense/defense substitutions Maybe Fez being inserted at that point to Join Okur then you do not get the penetration to the hole in the first place.
Denver everyone said were going to lose because of theyr'e schedule. The Jazz lose one game and are in trouble, they are very very unlucky. Now 2 games out, Seems like every loss costs us dearly. Now OK CIty hot hot awaits Sunday and a win they close to 1/2 game of us.
2 points for the balance of the season:
Millsap has had a few stinker offensive games, and we need more from him.
My concern of having a "consistent" starting #2 guard....
Salmons another player the Jazz "refused last year to try and get loving this squad" tore apart Matthews.
6 points will not cut.
Korver should start
MLK didnt really have that tall of big guys, just
Bogut. Here are the Jazz fans again making excuses
to help their own self confidence and to keep
telling themsleves that the Jazz are good, but in
reality they are still just a mediocre team going
nowhere with the 2nd highest payroll in the entire
NBA and no championship ever on the agenda.
Jazz, where winning a championship doesnt happen.
Having Fresenko in would not have mattered, its not
like Bogut was the deciding factor of the game for
MLK, it was the guards of Salmons and Jennings.
Besides Fresnko is terrible and is no offensive
help, that pretty much having the Jazz play 4 guys
on the court when he is in the game.
Go Lakers!
Bogut owned Okur in the first half. The Jazz just looked a step slower than the Bucks. I was there and even made it on TV.
Jazzsmack-good job, Doug and Blauche will be coming on here soon pleasing the Sloanaholics as the rhetoric and excuses will begin.
The fact is Sloan may have no choice but to install either CJ or Korver as shooting guard. Matthews hustles, plays hard, get steals, takes charges-the only thing stopping him is consistency like most young players. The Jazz cannot survive a #2 guard scoring 6 points. Wes gets doubles occasionally, but as we get towards the playoffs you need consistent 15 ppg or close to it from #2 starter.
Jazz fans better hope we do not finish behind OK City because with home court I do not like our chances.
We seem to be glued to the Lakers Bracket.
3 years in a row eliminated by same team
sickening...
Bogut owned Memo? No way. Memo was 7-7 from field first half and he did whatever he can to decrease Bogus' efficiency. Memo did block 3 shots and keot Andrew 5-15 from field while scoring 20 and grabbing 11 reb with an impressive 10-16 FG performance. Where is the ownage?
Sorry, guys. It's not a common or popular opininon in Utah fan base but Deron's hesitation, needless frustration costed us big time. He lost his control and let chucker Jennings had a great night for his team. He lost his confidence and despite getting open looks from 10-15 feet, he did not really take advantage of the defensive gamble of Bucks which helped them get their painted area crowded. Carlos was really good on OFFENSE. His defense sucked as normally.
I don't like to blame a position or player for the loss but there are three things/moments played big role in the outing of the game:
1) after an offensive reb, Kyle got a open straight up 3pt opportunity and the babby went in and out. At that instant score was 78-75 in our favor.
2) Memo challenged and well-defended Bogut's shot but because Carlos and Kyle were busy watching the position instead of boxing out, Ilyasova got the easy off. reb to put his team up by two.
3) Jazz coud not hit the ocean from 3pt land and despite poor shooting, our most critical shot choice was a three by Memo. Carlos had a position.
Yeah, the Jazz coulda played harder earlier but I was verrrry disappointed to see 3 BIG no-calls of fouls (including when Booz was ejected) that make me want to quit watching the NBA. I don't expect the Jazz to always win but I do expect a fairly refereed game!
I love the Jazz but I kept wishing they wouldn't make ANY 3 point shots! Why? Because I can't stand it when Ron Boone makes his "Mountain America Credit Union" speech after every made 3 point shot. My hatred overcame my loyalty to the Jazz.
I also hate it when a spectacular play is ruined by the statement "oh that's a Morgan Jeweler". And if that's not bad enough, then there ambulance chasing, insurance rate raising, blood suckers come on with their stupid commercials.
Pretty soon, it will be after every shot made, "Now that's another shot made brought to you by your neighborhood ambulance chasing friends at Sigfried and Jensen. If you've been in an accident, let us chase your ambulance".
The other alternative used to be Hot Rod which I liked. Now its someone with the whiniest voice on the radio.
And don't forget Energy Solutions. Can't the Jazz get better sponsors?
I have a theory that refs punish the team that looks the weakest. It's human nature to pounce on the weak.
So, with the Jazz looking like the worst team on the floor most of the night, the refs sided with the home team.
But that's not why the Jazz lost. They just played bad, and Williams forgot how to run the team---up-tempo!!!
Not playing our one talented big, Fesenko, always diminishes KOC and Sloan to two average Joes, that don't know diddly squat about what they are doing.
