I am not sure what Bernick is on.

This was by far the most hostile legislative session on record. Our leaders spent most of the time on anti-American message bills instead of the budget, passed two abortion bills, and have done a great deal to put the average citizen out of the political process once they have cast their vote. I could have sworn I was living in Afghanistan circa 2000, not Utah. The ethics reform was done in a way to weaken the voter initiative. I still hope that one goes through, but it will take twice the work to get one approved, and now is very vulnerable to political pressure to have signatures removed to invalidate the entire process. They also talked about taking the voters out of the politcial process leaving the legislature the ability to appoint our leaders we send to Washington.

We need to reign in these crooks and hold them accountible this November.

What really happened

The Far-right once again laid siege to our great state. They retaliated for the voucher defeat by hammering education- again.
They created over 400 laws- again (what ever happened to small government)
They would not pass real ethics against themselves- again.
They catered to lobbyists- again (When did PCE get so much control)
Gayle Ruzicka once again showed who really controls Utah (Most Utahns do not support the Eagle Forum's views)
Religious bias was shown in creating laws- again
Human Rights were neglected- again
Unconstitutional laws were created and will cost us tax dollars in legal fees- again
Message bills were created and will cost us tax dollars in legal fees- again.
Legislators did not take a pay cut- again
I think that's enough for now.
Do Not re-elect any of these Bozos. We need new blood.

salty dog

I thought the Republicans were the "moral" party? ....and that is why you should vote for them?

re:What really happened

Detect any agenda in this poster's rant?

Time for real ethics reform

I think it is high time for real ethics reform. Lets pass the initiative that will give us just that!

Thanks!

Ethics?

You mean the kind of ethics where the whole room full of state legislators applaud a sexual predator?

Yes, well, those are a *type* of ethics.
