He said "he feels like an old man!" thats because you are an old man! u probably like 29 or something lol...anyways good luck to the players I hope Manase get picked up...I think Pitta is going to go in the 2nd round....Hall 6th round or free agent....
must be intense. This same thing is happening on about 100 other campuses. I remember an old Y great who crashed and burned in stellar fashion, even in the CFL, (wider field, 110 yds long)was Robbie Feterick. Here's hoping Hall, Pitta, George, and the rest go early and do well.
Congratulations guys! It's exciting to hear about your plans for the future. Hope you do well and that you can keep working toward your dreams. Good luck on your goals!
Max Hall will be turning 30 years old in April.
Im pretty sure he is 26 or less.
It would have been nice to see more of the numbers clocked for the various players. I think we all expect Pitta to go early in the draft and then Hall, Tonga, Jorgensen & George could possibly go late or land on a roster as free agents. We all know Hall is a great passer, but his size might prevent him from getting drafted.
Re: 3:39am: Hall age 29? try 25.
Re: 5:54: Robbie Federick? Is that some kind of hybrid between Robbie Bosco and Roger Federick? Good point, I was surprised that Steve McMahon and Ty Beck never got drafted either.
Robbie Feterick? Great memory...
No offense to the man, but I don't think Kevin Feterik should be considered "an old Y great." Average numbers, average win-loss records: 6-5 (1997), 9-5 (1998), 8-4 (1999). Don't get me wrong, he had his moments (Washington to open 1999, upsetting Arizona State in 1997), just don't call him a great.
I don't know if you were trying to compare him to Hall, but I would put Hall head and shoulders over Feterik.
Not a BYU fan but good luck Dennis Pitta you are the real deal
I think you mean Kevin Feterik. He was no Max Hall. Dennis Pitta will go on day one. Manase Tonga will make the league as a blocking back. Jan Jorgensen got robbed by not getting an invite to the combine. How can the NFL not invite a former MWC defensive player of the year?
Kevin Feterick, and from what I remember he was not a great more like a good system quarterback. Sarkisian was probably the best quarterback at the Y since Ty Detmer. Hall threw too many picks against mediocre competition to be considered a top prospect. If anyone goes the first day it will be Pitta.
we'll dominate the NFL like they dominate the other teams around hear.
Well sucess all boils down to opportunity. Isn't it odd that some of the worlds greatest players get into the wrong opportunity and end up as flops. yet some of the least talented get the right opp and next thing you know they are standing on top of the world. (Tom Brady) Yes I know Tom Brady is talented now but he wasn't when his ride began. What these guys at BYU and the 100 other campuses need to be hoping for is the right opportunity and I hope they find it.
I thought that was Kevin Feterik. I believe he opted for baseball instead of football, but I could be wrong. Not sure crashing/burning would be the right way to describe his post college experience.
Best of luck in the draft boys.
Pitta Second Round
Hall 6th round
Tonga 6-7 round
George and Jorgenson free agents
For the haters that will be coming on here to say that they will be selling cell phones in a few months. Get back to work the drive up window is getting backed up, and yes I would like fries with that!
Hall is 25.
Hall will make a good backup quarterback. I sure wouldn't mind that job. You still make good money, and you get to see all the games from the sidelines.
Best wishes Max and Dennis
Hall is 24.
Isn't playing football on Sunday against the BYU honor code?
