This is well and good

But its not enough. Illegals stealing an ID do not have to steal it from a company or business. The illegals are now using their anchor childrens ID's to falsify employment and documents. SSN are not issued with date of birth information. The SSA never verifies who is using a SSN. Many times children would be spared if DOB was issued or compared by the SSA or IRS if it is verified when submitted.

The employers of illegals are the biggest problem of ID theft and E-verify only proves an SSN is real, not if who's using it is real. Business will aid and abet ID theft by allowing illegal employees to keep making changes to their employment records, it they have any, until one will match IRS records.

What I would like to do is force all credit reporting agency's or business to delete my SSN from their records. To freeze and reopen your SSN through credit reporting agency's there is a fee involved and costly proof of identity to have it done. This kind of proof should be required to open or start a credit history. And what about the dead?

When I file my taxes every year I include my children's SSN. Doesn't the IRS have record of that so that if someone tries to use the same SSN fraudulently it will show up?

Another problem is parents stealing their childs identity. In several cases I know of the parents had horrible credit so they started using the childs social security number to get loans, credit cards, phone service, utilities. Then the child upon reaching adulthood realizes that their credit is wrecked - by their parents!
It is so crazy that Miss Roush had her identity stolen at such a young age. Sounds like repairing the problem is almost impossible. Too sad!
