When Ricks was i the mix, with Dixie and Utah VAlley that conference was real competitive. Those schools are now 4 year schools nice if that conference had more teams though.

I think that this is one of the toughest junior college Basketball leagues in the country. SLCC, Northern Idaho college and College of Southern Idaho are very competitive/talented teams. I look forward to seeing the NJCCA finals.

GO EAGLES!

GREAT WIN.... Get them in Kansas!

Awful

Sounds like a good game. Too bad this article isn't of the same quality.

Where did this writer come from? A local high school?

BTW: it's the first time in 45 years CEU has made an appearance at nationals. Where were the Deseret News reporters during the SWAC Tourney...lots of major four-year college coaches were there watching, but no ink about it in either major daily newspaper. The reader's loss on this one. It was a great tournament.

You're right. But that's just life in the JC and CC world.

Times need to change...

Whats wrong with covering Junior College sports? Here in the state of Utah, we take pride in our local talent. That’s why the media takes adamant measures to cover high school sports, from 5-A to 1A. And look what our local Universities are doing. What about our local talent in the Junior College levels? Last year SLCC won the NJCAA, was that reported. How about the MWC phenom out of New Mexico, Darington Hobson? Utah media could have been all over this kid the last two years, during his time at CEU.

I, for one, am calling out our sports media. It’s time that you start reporting on all of our local talent in this great state, from High School, to Junior College, to Universities. There’s good talent in this state, and plenty of opportunities to report on great games, especially when a 45 year long curse is broken. So, please, for us sports fans cheering on our local talent and teams, do your job!
