Thank you for your story. This story points to the many difficulties that refugees and immigrants have as they integrate into our community. Kudos to Youthlinc for creating this program.
I teach these students and they were so excited to be in the newspaper. I'm so glad there are programs that help the refugees understand life here in America, especially since it is such the opposite of where they are from.
Many of these students are enrolled in the "Chill" program sponsored by Burton Snowboards and Brighton Resort. While they're learning everything else about America they're also learning how to link turns and carve deep gashes in the powder. They're full of life.
